Nothing about my favorite breakfast in the world is ground-breaking, but I love it. I start my day with this filling and healthy breakfast 3-4 days a week and have been for about 3 years, so I thought it was worthy of making an appearance on my blog...
It's incredibly simple to make. Here's what you need and what to do...
A toasted, hearty slice of whole wheat bread
Your favorite peanut butter (Smuckers Natural Chunky PB is my favorite)
Ripe, delicious bananas- organic ones taste more banana-ey (not a word, I know)
Sticky, sweet honey
Slather a layer of peanut butter on top of the toasted bread
Sometimes I heat the peanut butter up in the microwave for a few seconds to make it more slatherable...
Add sliced bananas on top of the peanut butter
Sometimes I heat the peanut butter up in the microwave for a few seconds to make it more slatherable...
Add sliced bananas on top of the peanut butter
Then slowly, yes slowly, drizzle honey on top of the bananas
Drink it with a cold glass of creamy milk or your favorite hot tea, then enjoy your day.
This looks super yummy! I am a fan of PB and Bananas, so I could do this. Sad to say, but I am terrible with breakfast. I make sure my youngest has a healthy one, but forget about myself. Should just make double, but she eats REALLY early because of school and I am just not hungry yet. Her fav-vanilla yogurt, topped with berries and granola.
ReplyDeleteOh, this looks good! Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Tiffany, just stopping into some of my favorite blogs to say hi before the workers start knocking! This looks SOOOOO good, makes me want to have one now. Your pictures are INCREDIBLE!!!!! Bon Appetit....are you paying attention!

ReplyDeleteWow, reading that just made my mouth water! Looks so yummy, Tiffany!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite breakfast is a fried egg on wheat toast with a fresh ripe tomato. Not that sexy, but sooo good!
Take care, friend!
I agree about organic bananas tasting more banana-ey. That looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite breakfast is that last slice of pie from the previous night.
I love this combination, and eat it in a variety of forms ~ on toast, or just banana + PB for a snack. Also, adding raisins to this mix is great! Yum yum yum
ReplyDeleteThis is my all time favorite breakfast- sometimes I throw on a little Nutella when I'm in the mood for chocolate :)
ReplyDeleteI use to love this as a kid! and when I was pregnant with my 1st I ate peanut butter toast with scrambled eggs on top (ewww-I know!)
ReplyDeleteand girl you photos are looking amazing! whats your secret??
Breakfast is my healthiest meal of the day. If I could only stop eating after 8pm, I'd be all set - ha! My BF is steel-cut oatmeal topped with Fage plain yogurt, some ground chia seeds, a little banana or berries and a drizzle of flax seed oil.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are beautiful. I agree with you completely--this is one of the best breakfasts---nothing better than peanut butter toast and banana. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this combo too! Have you tried creamed honey?? No cream in it, just the way they control the crystallization process, sooo good. If you can't find it let me know & I will send some off to you! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this on a bagel or on a rice cake! So so yummy!
ReplyDeleteI live for this breakfast and have a version of this often!!!! So good. Happy Tuesday, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm so hungry right now!! I have all the ingredients for this... the decision has been made. I'm making this for breakfast today, yum!! Thanks for the inspiration g-friend :)
ReplyDeleteThat bread looks so so hearty, I love rustic type wholegrain breads. I'm not a fan of peanut butter but I could totally do this without it, looks so yummy!
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of a boring person when it comes to food, I have the same breakfast every single day: cereal! Just a mix of 2-3 different ones (muesli + special K) I love it!
Tiffany!

ReplyDeleteWhat a delicious and healthy morning treat! I usually have a smoothie although it just hasn't been cutting it in this cold weather. I think I'll make some oatmeal tomorrow with banana and peanut butter!
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely one of my faves. But I've never added honey - will have to try!
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast routine puts mine to shame! I am usually running late so my breakfast is hit or miss depending on the day.

ReplyDeleteI was searching for information about the benefits of rolled oats, and I found your article. You have explained the health benefits of rolled oats in a very detailed way. I have visited many websites, but none of them mentioned the nutritional value of rolled oats, which I have been looking for a long time. I found that information on your website. After reading your blog, I ordered True Elements Rolled Oats . It feels really good in the morning after having them. Thank you so much for your recommendation.
