So I must say that I have physically felt better in the last few months than I have in a very long time. I mentioned here a few weeks ago that I have adjusted my eating habits over the last few months. My adjustments have yielded some lost pounds, more energy, healthier skin, better sleep - the whole nine. It's quite wonderful.
My first adjustment was drinking this smoothie. I have had this smoothie almost every morning for breakfast since the beginning of March. March is a super busy month for me work-wise, so I was simply looking for ways to keep my energy up. I have several friends who swear by smoothies for breakfast, so I upgraded my blender to a Vitamix and started researching smoothies. I settled with a version of this smoothie and haven't looked back. I ADORE IT! The banana and almond milk make it really creamy and the berries make it ever-so-slightly sweet. I promise you can't taste the spinach at all! Starting my day off with this encouraged me to stay on track with my other meals during the day and it still does. I am so thankful I found it! I have shared the recipe with many of my friends and have made it for house guests and they all love it.
Now let me share it with you...
P.S. Many of you have asked me how I'm liking my Vitamix (I have this one). In three words...
Worth. Every. Penny.
There are days when I just dump a little of every vegetable or fruit I have in the fridge and add water or almond milk. It's never disappointed me in terms of the texture or flavor of anything I've made. It can blend things that are hard in texture to something so incredibly smooth that one would have no clue what it was beforehand. It makes it so easy and fun, I might add, to include more fruits and vegetables in your diet.
I purchased mine at Bed Bath & Beyond and used the 20% off coupon, which makes it cheaper than the same one on Amazon.
