Hi!!! I hope you had a good weekend. The number of exclamation marks you just saw explains how good my weekend was. On Friday & Saturday, I got some good shopping in for fall, had two great dinners with two great friends, had a fantastic Pilates workout, got a mani-pedi (this polish is my new favorite) and just relaxed. Good times...
On Sunday, the lighting in my house was crazy. It would go from totally sunny outside to totally cloudy outside in a matter of seconds, so I thought I would get some practice time in with my camera. These are a few of my favorite little spots and details in my home. Quick camera tip: If you are looking to learn how to use your DSLR camera using the Manual mode, then taking pictures indoors when the light is constantly changing outdoors will give you some great practice. You have to constantly and quickly adjust the settings to get the right photo. So if you have a little time and a lot of patience, refer to the chart in this post and practice! I'm still practicing myself. Certain areas of my guest bedroom, which I just finished decorating, has strange lighting all the time. So once I figure all that out, I will be sure to show you how the room turned out!
I hope your week is off to a great start! Oh - if you love chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, peanut butter and caramel, check back here tomorrow. I've got something for ya... :)

{Not house related - but a FABULOUS article I read this weekend by Barnard College president, Deborah Spar, in this month's issue of Glamour magazine. It's about women trying to do it all - all perfectly that is. Loved those last two sentences (circled)...}
Those pillows in that basket look amazing Tiffany!! Glad you had a nice weekend ;)
ReplyDeleteAwesome photography!!!!! I love little peeks into your house, so lovely. I love your recommendation too, you do have to keep changing the settings. That's where most amateur photographers decide to drop photography because they couldn't be bothered and leave it on auto. Can't wait to see what you have in store for those baked goods you're going to share with us tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteYour photography skills are so amazing....thanks for including a few tips for us newbies!! Looking good Tiffany
ReplyDeleteYour home is so gorgeous! Loving the pillow + basket combo!

Your house looks amazing and as always lovely photos! I really need to learn how to use my camera properly.
ReplyDeleteTwice monthly I participate in a local restaurant's organic gardening project. We meet, work, dig, plant, harvest, laugh, learn and finally the chef prepares for us amazing food which we share outdoors. Its the most amazing connection I've enjoyed in some time. At the second class I toted along my camera and asked if it was alright for me to photograph. Long story short I take photos at all the classes so I am so excited to have the practice and experience both with my camera and with the gardening. I have learned so much Tiffany!!! So yes, practice does make better. he he
